Terms of Service

The bit platform is a text sharing system that allows users to upload and share text snippets both anonymously or by creating an user account. By using this service, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them following carefully:
  1. No NSFW Content: Users are prohibited from sharing, uploading, or promoting any content that is sexually explicit, obscene, or contains adult material;
  2. No Spam: Users are not allowed to post or distribute spam, including but not limited to unwanted promotional or commercial content.
  3. No Harmful Content: Users must refrain from sharing content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
  4. No Warranty: "the bit platform" provides the platform on an "as-is" basis, without any warranty or guarantee. Users use the platform at their own risk.
  5. Limitation of Liability: In no event shall "the bit platform" or its administrators be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use of our platform.
  6. Modification: "the bit platform" reserves the right to modify or update these terms at any time. Users will be notified of any changes, and continued use of the platform after modifications constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
  7. Content Removal: The administrators of "the bit platform" reserve the right to review, edit, modify, or remove any content that violates these terms or is deemed inappropriate, at their sole discretion. This includes, but is not limited to, content that is NSFW, spam, harmful, or otherwise inconsistent with the guidelines outlined at Point 1.
  8. User Bans: The administrators reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any user account that violates these terms or engages in activities that are harmful to the platform or its users. This may include, but is not limited to, repeated violations of content guidelines, abusive behavior, or attempts to compromise the security of the platform.
  9. Legal Compliance & Data Disclosure: If required by law, court order, or other legal obligations, "the bit platform" may disclose user data, including account details and submitted content, to law enforcement or other authorized authorities. This will only be done in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  10. User Responsibility: Users are responsible for their activity on "the bit platform" and must ensure that their content and interactions comply with these Terms of Service. Failure to do so may result in content removal, account suspension, or legal action where applicable.

Privacy Policy

By creating an account, you agree to store your email address, your username, your hashed password and the account signup timestamp to the bit platform servers.

For legal compliance and to uphold the terms of service, all content submitted to the Bit platform-whether through the web interface or via the JSON API-is stored in an UNENCRYPTED format, including the password-protected posts. Therefore, platform administrators have the ability to access and store submitted content, including password-protected posts, and may disclose it to authorities if required by law, court order, or other legal obligations.
